1. Conversion accuracy
Lossy formats (MP3, JPG, low-bitrate video, 3GP) reduce quality. Some conversions drop information by design, for example:
- Picture metadata (EXIF, location) is removed.
- Text-to-PDF uses a simple layout and supports Latin characters only.
- CSV export uses only the first spreadsheet sheet.
- EPUB conversion excludes images.
2. Compatibility
Results depend on your browser and device. AVIF output is browser-dependent; large files may fail on phones with limited memory. Old phones may not play every 3GP profile.
3. Unsupported formats
Formats that need software unavailable in a browser are not offered, such as DOC/ODT/RTF/PPT to PDF, MOBI/AZW3/FB2, OCR, 7Z/RAR, password archives, HEIC input, SVG output and AMR sound. The Formats page lists what is supported.
4. Data loss
Converted files are kept only in memory for a limited time and disappear when the tab closes. Download results you need promptly. We cannot recover files.
5. Service availability
The service may be unavailable at times, and the conversion engine needs an internet connection to download the first time.
